This is an original Anzac trench, just near The Nek. There isn't much left here now but if you pop your head over the top, only metres away you can see where the Ottoman trenches were. It's a scary thought.

Looking down from the top of this ridge you can see the beach and red seats fro the service. It is hard to believe that our Anzac's were able to climb these hills in the dark, fog and with heavy packs and machinery on. The photo still doesn't show just how high and steep these cliffs are. *You have to see it in person to believe it.

Under restoration but over 4,700 years old and standing well. The small pyramid on it's right was made 200 years later (but not as well constructed) and has eroded to large rocks. The pile of sand on the far right was made another 200 years later again (and made even more poorly); it has eroded so much it is only sand now. Fascinating!
